Lora Jean Beeson, 83 of Bloomington passed away at 5:46 AM on Sunday December 4, 2016 at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal.

Jean was born December 16, 1932 in Bloomington, the daughter of Herman and LaVern Cooper Hopper of Bloomington.

Jean is survived by her three daughters, Tami Harmison; Toni Beeson and Lori Ricketts all of Bloomington; three siblings Patricia (Norman) Niepagen of Shirley; William H (Pat) Hopper of Bloomington; Susan (Lee) Daniels of Heyworth; two grandchildren Brandon (Tonya) Harmison of Bloomington; Anthony Young of Houston TX; two great-grandchildren Elyse and Dominic and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and sister-in-law’s Robert (Mary Lou) Cooper; John (Vickie) Hopper of Bloomington.

She raised three daughters while working in the cosmetic department at Roland’s Department store. Later in Life she managed Carl’s Ice Cream until retirement.

There will be a graveside service for Jean on Wednesday December 7, 2016 at 11 AM at Park Hill Cemetery in Bloomington. Rev. Dr. Jim Warren will officiate. Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington is handling arrangements.

Jean was a loving and caring mother and will be missed by all who knew her. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Jean during her time at McLean County Nursing Home
